The Lord Clive class monitor Prince Rupert , seen here on 24 May, was built at Port Glasgow by Wm Hamilton & Co Ltd. She was brought upriver to Clydebank on 20 May 1915 to have her twin 12-inch gun mounting fitted by the 150-ton derrick crane. In this view taken over Barham ’s secondary guns, her barbette is complete and her 12-inch turret and guns are visible on the quayside above and slightly forward of her quarterdeck.
